Frauke Godat graduated with a master's degree from the Free University in Berlin. Afterwards,she was on the national board of AIESEC in Germany. Having worked in a grassroots NGO in India for 11 months, she has been with Greenpeace International in Amsterdam. Since 2000, she has been active as a freelance and volunteer trainer for social change and leadership in international networks such as AIESEC, Pioneers of Change, the START programme of the German Hertie Foundation, and We are What We Do. Since 2007 Frauke has been involved with Hub Berlin applying the Art of Hosting framework in her daily work.
